The Fight for the Right to a Happy Ending

Beanstalked takes place in a parallel world called Lore. Every 100 years, the Storybook Cycle picks a random selection of names from a new generation to become Bookmarked, individuals that have been assigned the roles of characters from fables and folklore to live out their storylines.

Jack is a farm boy who has been Bookmarked with the role of the titular character from Jack and the Beanstalk for the current generation. However, thanks to Nevermore's return, everyone's storybook paths have been scrambled, leading Happy Endings becoming more and more scarce.

As Jack adapts to being a living fairy tale, he and his friends try to figure out the answer to the surprisingly complicated question: "What truly makes you happy?"
